Side by Side is dog walking and socialisation with a difference.
This is run on a Saturday morning (Port Sunlight)and Tuesday evenings (Hoylake). This is a great place to meet like minded dog walkers who want to socialise their dogs in a calm and controlled environment. See our aims below.
Here are our 5 aims

1. To create a community of dog owners who want to build and improve their relationship with their dogs

2. To help build calmness in our dogs by gently exposing and desensitising them to distractions.
​
3. Socialisation with a difference - teaching our dogs to walk side by side rather than every dog meet being face to face. We want dogs who are not in a constant state of over excitement or anxiety around each other.

4. Enjoying walking our dogs in a community of likeminded people. We want to build a community of owners who enjoy walking their dogs rather than it being a nightmare.

5. Encouraging responsible dog ownership. We meet so many clients who have reactive dogs, fearful dogs or over excited dogs. No more shouting they’re friendly as our dog’s ignores us and run off. We want a community who takes responsibility for our dogs.
What side by side isn't...
1. Dog training. While we believe every moment with our dogs is a training moment, Side by Side isn’t a dog training class. (Yes there will be a dog professional who will be around to help and point you in the right direction) but if your dog is highly reactive or so excited and you cannot control them then book a 1:1 or onto one of our training classes.

2. Off leash experience. There are plenty of places you can take your dog off lead safely. This isn’t one of them. Many of our dogs don’t want dogs running or invading into their space. We want to respect that and help them as much as possible.
